Merlot Alto Adige DOC Hofstatter 2020

Merlot Alto Adige DOC is a soft and fruity red wine, made by the Hofstatter winery, dedicated to enhancing the many potentialities of the denomination. It is obtained from the vinification of Merlot grapes only, a vine that reaches high quality standards on the land owned by the estate. This is possible thanks to meticulous work, as well as the mineral composition of the substrates. Following the manual harvest with selection of the ripest bunches, the grapes arrive in the cellar where they are destemmed and subjected to a delicate pressing. Fermentation involves maceration in contact with the skins for about ten days in steel containers. As regards the refinement phase, the production philosophy aims to preserve freshness. Consequently, the wine rests in stainless steel tanks until spring of the year following the harvest. Merlot Alto Adige DOC is a ready-to-drink red wine, ideal to be enjoyed shortly after bottling to savor all the fragrant varietal scents.
