Merlot Toscana IGT Buondonno 2017

Merlot Toscana IGT is a full-bodied and structured red wine, produced by the Buondonno company, a historic reality in Chianti. It is obtained from the exclusive vinification of Merlot grapes, an international vine which in Tuscany manages to achieve excellent quality results. The vineyards are located in Casavecchia, a hamlet of Castellina in Chianti, and rest on soils with a good percentage of clay and limestone. After careful work in the vineyard under organic conditions, the grapes are harvested and subjected to pressing. This is followed by a maceration of about twenty days on the skins. The wine is then left to ferment thanks to the action of natural yeasts in large concrete tanks, and then rests for a year in French oak barriques and tonneaux. Characterized by a high alcohol content and intense aromas, Merlot Toscana IGT is a red wine that boasts good aging potential in the cellar. It can be enjoyed immediately or carefully stored for up to five years.
