The Mirto di Sardegna from the Tremontis liqueur-distillery is certainly the most traditional and well-known liqueur of the Nuraghi island, the result of a perfect blend of myrtle berries processed in the distillery in Paulilatino, in the province of Oristano. It is protected in the official list of Traditional Products, and must guarantee certain quality standards and production methods. Usually served as a digestive after a busy dinner, it is even better when served cold. In recent times it has also been discovered as an aperitif, perhaps diluted with ice. Mirto di Sardegna Tremontis is obtained from cold maceration of sugar and cranberry berries without the addition of colourings, preservatives or artificial flavourings. It is a sweet liqueur but with a slightly bitter finish capable of helping you digest even the most demanding Sardinian dinners. A healthy and tasty product, suitable for all palates, a bottle not to be missed in your liquor cabinet.
