Montefalco Rosso Riserva Doc is an intense and structured wine, made by the Adanti winery, a historic Umbrian winery, which was born in the sixties from the idea of Domenico Adanti. Today the winery owns about forty hectares of land, most of which is intended for vineyards, while a small area is reserved for olive groves; it is entirely located on the hills of Arquata and Colcimino. The prestigious Montefalco Rosso Doc Riserva label is made up of a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Merlot, whose vineyards are cultivated on clayey and calcareous soils at about 230 meters above sea level in the municipality of Bevagna; the cool, continental climate has allowed these varieties to thrive and grow as optimally as possible. The wine ferments on the skins in steel tanks for at least twenty days, and then spends thirty months of aging in oak barrels. Adanti Montefalco Riserva is a particularly complex wine, with a good structure, with broad, rich and persistent aromas. The tannin, well present, is integrated into the wine and the finish is very balanced and very persistent.
