Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description

Morassina Barbera d'Alba DOC is an intense and complex red wine produced by the Piedmontese winery Giuseppe Cortese . It is obtained from the vinification of Barbera grapes, a native variety with unmistakable varietal scents. The vines boast a minimum age of no less than forty years and grow in the Morassina vineyard, located in the heart of the appellation. Cultivation practices inspired by the protection of ecosystem biodiversity are respected between the rows. The careful manual harvest is followed by alcoholic fermentation, which takes place inside steel tanks and lasts twenty days. To complete the refinement, 18 months are required in French oak barriques, one third of which is in the "first passage". The wine then rests for another 6 months in the bottle before being put on the market. Perfect from the start, Morassina Barbera d'Alba DOC boasts all the potential to evolve further, reserving pleasant surprises even after 4-5 years in the cellar.
