'Muffo' Passito Grechetto Mottura Sergio 2019 37.5 cl - HALF BOTTLE

Muffo Passito Grechetto Lazio IGT is a sweet wine produced by the Sergio Mottura winery. The wine is obtained from the vinification of grapes of the local Grechetto variety. This vine, on which a large part of the winery's production is concentrated, is cultivated near Lake Alviano, according to the principles of organic viticulture. The work between the rows takes place meticulously, since the grapes are left to overripe on the plants until the development of Noble Mold (Botrytis Cinerea) and the concentration of sugars. Only the best bunches are selected manually and transported to the cellar where the vinification begins. After destemming, the grapes are left to ferment in steel tanks with careful temperature control. The wine then ages for a year in oak barriques which give it great complexity. Muffo Passito Grechetto Lazio IGT is a meditation wine, excellent immediately, even if it can be appreciated after 7-8 years of rest in the cellar. Given the specific meteorological conditions necessary for its production, not all harvests allow for the production of Muffo.
