Vinopuro's advices

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

Longevity
This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description
Muncagota Barbaresco DOCG Riserva is an intense, elegant and full-bodied red wine from the Produttori del Barbaresco winery, a company committed to enhancing the territorial characteristics of the denomination. The label is obtained from the exclusive vinification of Nebbiolo grapes, grown in one of the most suitable crus for this native variety. This is Muncagota, a plot that stands out for its clay and limestone-rich substrate, as well as for its ideal south-east exposure. Once they have reached the optimal degree of ripeness, the bunches are selected by hand during the harvest and carefully transported to the cellar. Here the vinification begins with the spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, which coincides with the maceration on the skins and continues for a month in temperature-controlled steel tanks. The refinement phase involves a three-year rest in oak barrels, followed by a six-month rest in glass after bottling. Muncagota Barbaresco DOCG Riserva boasts an extraordinary potential for further evolution over more than ten years.
