The Troia grape is a typical vine of the Dauno Apennines, we are in the north of Puglia. Harvested at the right point of ripeness, it is destemmed, crushed and conveyed to the winemakers. Here the must follows a controlled temperature fermentation of about six, eight days with continuous pumping over and punching down, at least for the first two thirds of the fermentation. For refinement, the new wine is removed from the pomace and malolactic fermentation follows, often triggered by the winemaker. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is cleaned and stored in stainless steel tanks until it is prepared for bottling. With an intense red color, it is a jovial wine, with aromas of red berry fruit and spices, on the palate with good structure and persistence. Excellent Quality/Price ratio.
