'Orion' Primitivo Salento IGT Masseria Li Veli 2020

Orion Primitivo Salento IGT is a full-bodied red wine produced by the Apulian winery Masseria Li Veli . The label, which pays homage to the strong Greek influences on Salento culture, is the result of the vinification in purity of grapes of the native Primitivo vine. Near Cellino San Marco the vines find a very favorable environment for growth, sinking their roots into a soil rich in iron, limestone and other minerals. Between the end of August and the first week of September, only the healthiest bunches are harvested by hand, which are then transported to the cellar. Here the vinification begins with the alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins. This stage involves rigorous temperature monitoring.
