'Ornellaia' Label 'La Proporzione' Bolgheri Rosso Superiore DOC Ornellaia 2020

The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore 'Ornellaia' of Tenuta dell'Ornellaia represents one of the most famous wines called Supertuscan. For this red wine one can only speak decisively of an oenological masterpiece: not only for its area of origin, i.e. Bolgheri, but also for the production process and the very precise attention to detail that have brought the company to the top of the sector internationally. The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore 'Ornellaia' is a Bordeaux blend which is made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. All the grapes are harvested exclusively by hand after a phase of analysis which aims to accurately evaluate the ripeness and balance of the individual components of the berry. The vinification continues separately according to the grape variety: first there is a phase in steel tanks, which is followed by a passage in oak barriques for at least a year, a period at the end of which the cuvée is created. This intense, persistent and particularly elegant red wine is an oenological pearl which ages and improves for many years after bottling. Great wine.
