'Passion' Riesling Reserve Weingut R&A Pfaffl 2017

The Riesling PASSION Reserve is produced in the Pfaffl cellar, the region it belongs to is Weinviertel, near Vienna and the company covers about 90 hectares all cultivated with vines that are about 25 years old. The vineyards are located in the hills, in a windy area, on a soil mainly made up of sandstone and marl, with a very thin loess (sediment), which makes the soil very suitable for viticulture. The "Passion" Riesling Reserve Weingut R&A is produced in purity from the Riesling vine; the grapes are harvested with a certain overripeness (far ahead) and are vinified in acacia wood barrels where it ages for about 7 months before being bottled. It is a balanced wine, but at the same time dense and full-bodied that can be enjoyed both immediately and after further aging in the bottle, in its cellar, where it will take on increasingly complex and evolved scents. Intense fragrance of roses, peach, apricot, a little mango, a touch of grapefruit, in short, lots of fruit! Extremely full on the palate with excellent acidity, mineral and very fruity with a very long finish. This Riesling goes well with any type of fish and sea food, even spicy Asian cuisine and meat dishes with light sauces.
