'Pelofino' Toscana Rosso IGT Fattoria Le Pupille 2019

Pelofino Toscana Rosso IGT is a pleasant and drinkable wine, made by the Maremma winery Fattoria Le Pupille . The label is obtained from a blend of three vines, namely the autochthonous Sangiovese and the "international" Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, present in equal parts. The vineyards are cultivated with the spurred cordon system, which allows to optimize the yield. The harvest varies according to the grape variety, starting in early September with the bunches of Merlot, and ending in October with those of Cabernet Sauvignon. Only the best grapes of each variety are selected by hand and then transported to the cellar. Here the fermentation takes place in steel tanks, which are strictly kept at 24°C during the process. For the refinement, the cellar focuses on the exclusive use of steel, where the wine remains for about five months. Pelofino Toscana Rosso IGT is a ready-to-drink wine, which offers fresh and varietal sensations after bottling or at the latest within a couple of years.
