Description
Petruna in Anfora Sangiovese Valdarno di Sopra DOC Bio is a red wine that represents the ancestral philosophy of the Il Borro winery. It is obtained from the exclusive vinification of grapes of the autochthonous Sangiovese dark berried variety. The reference vineyard is known as Casa al Coltro and is located about 350 meters above sea level. On substrates rich in clay, the vines find the ideal soil to thrive until the time of harvest with manual selection. Only the healthiest bunches reach the cellar, where they are destemmed and subjected to further selection. The alcoholic fermentation takes place inside special terracotta amphorae. In the same containers, which are carefully sealed with steel lids, the wine remains to refine in contact with the skins for at least a year. Petruna in Anfora Sangiovese Valdarno di Sopra DOC Bio is perfect to be enjoyed immediately, as well as after a rest in the cellar for 4-5 years.
