'Piani' Barbera d'Alba DOC Pelissero 2019

Piani Barbera d'Alba DOC is a wine produced at the Pelissero winery in Treiso. The main feature of the company is the desire to experiment with new production techniques. The grapes come from Barbera vines, grown on lands exposed to the West and located at 350 meters above sea level on medium-textured, mainly clayey soils. After the manual harvest, the best bunches undergo maceration for 20 days in steel tanks and are then transported in oak barrels. The refinement, which lasts 9 months, takes place for 40% in barriques and for the remainder in French oak barrels. The next phase is that of assembly and before being put on the market, a rest period of 2 months is carried out, in order to give greater complexity. Piani Barbera d'Alba DOC is a structured and intense wine, perfect for immediate drinking, but it can rest in the cellar for about 3 years if stored correctly.
