Piedirosso Sannio DOC Mustilli 2019

Piedirosso Sannio DOC is an intense and full-bodied red wine made by the Mustilli winery. The label is obtained from the single-variety vinification of grapes of the native Piedirosso variety. The owned plots are located near Sant'Agata De Goti, in the heart of the Benevento countryside. Here the calcareous, volcanic and clayey soils give a remarkable finesse to the berries. Among the rows, a production philosophy prevails aimed at protecting the ecosystem and its delicate balance up to the time of harvest with manual selection of the best bunches. Once in the cellar, the grapes are left to ferment in large temperature-controlled steel tanks for a period of about two weeks. Then follows the refinement, which always takes place in steel vats and lasts a few months. Piedirosso Sannio DOC is a wine that can be appreciated immediately, as well as after a couple of years rest in the cellar.
