'Pietranera' Toscana IGT Piaggia 2021

The Toscana IGT "Pietranera" is a red from the Piaggia winery, which was founded in the heart of Renaissance Tuscany with the aim of recovering and bringing back the ancient winemaking traditions. It is an area characterized by fertile soils and an adequate distribution of rainfall throughout the year: these factors prove to be entirely favorable to viticulture activities. The cult of the past and of the territory, respect for the ecosystem and the manual harvesting of the grapes determine the birth of an absolutely non-industrial, genuine and healthy product. A structured and harmonious wine, the Toscana IGT "Pietranera" is obtained 100% from Sangiovese vines. The final product is characterized by elegant tannins, velvety body and good persistence on the finish. The manufacturing process of Toscana IGT "Pietranera" includes vinification in contact with indigenous yeasts and brief aging in small oak barrels: The wine is pleasant, young, with a good tannic texture, typical of Sangiovese, with a good chance of aging in the cellar for a few years.
