Pietrarizzo Etna Bianco DOC is a white wine with a pleasant flavor, produced by the Sicilian winery Tornatore . The label is the result of a blend that includes two native vines, Carricante and Catarratto. In the district from which the label takes its name, there are vineyards where both varieties are grown. The soils of the northern slope of Etna are characterized by a volcanic substrate rich in minerals. When they reach the ideal level of ripeness, the bunches are carefully selected and harvested by hand. In the cellar, the alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in large oak barrels. The subsequent refinement phase also takes place in oak barrels, where the wine remains in contact with the fine lees for at least five months.
