Pinot Bianco 'Puntay' Alto Adige DOC First+New 2019

The Pinot Bianco Puntay Alto Adige DOC is a label from the Erste+Neue company, a winery that has created a range of wines designed to enhance the characteristics of Dolomite viticulture. This white wine is obtained from the single-variety vinification of Pinot Bianco grapes, a variety (non-native) which here reaches peaks of excellence thanks to the microclimate and significant temperature ranges. Cultivated with the Guyot system, the vines stand on land with ancient morainic deposits, excellent for vines. With a view to preserving this delicate ecosystem, the practices in the vineyard are respectful and culminate in a scrupulous and manual harvest. The winemaking process begins with fermentation at a strictly controlled temperature. It then continues with an aging of about seven months in large oak barrels in contact with the lees. Pinot Bianco Puntay Alto Adige DOC is a wine that can be drunk immediately, but boasts the potential to evolve further if stored with great care.
