Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

Balanced and full-bodied, the Pinot Bianco Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC from the Bastianich winery is a single-variety white wine made from 100% Pinot bianco grapes. The production area is located in the eastern hills of Friuli in the municipality of Cividale on limestone and marl-based soils. The Bastianich family is originally from the area and has been managing the winery for decades even though they live in the United States where their mother and son Joe are well-known restaurateurs. The vineyards are cultivated with the traditional method. After harvesting, which is done manually, selection takes place on sorting benches, followed by destemming and pressing, carried out using a pneumatic press. The must decants from 12 to 24 hours and then goes on to the fermentation phase, which takes place at a temperature between 16 and 18 degrees on the lees, for a variable period between 15 and 20 days. The last phase of preparation, lasting about 4 months, is the "batonnage" during which the wine is refined and enriched with natural antioxidants. Pinot Bianco Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC is a ready-to-drink wine that can be savored with great satisfaction.
