Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description
The Pinot Grigio Alto Adige DOC white wine from the Tramin winery is obtained thanks to the exclusive use of Pinot Grigio grapes. The vineyards are located on the hills around the municipality of Termeno, in the province of Bolzano, and enjoy a perfect combination of favorable microclimatic conditions and soil structure rich in mineral salts which ensures perfect growth of the vines. This winery, active for several years, carries out a quality production by fully enhancing the local products. In France this vine is called "Pinot Gris", in Germany "Ruländer", where it received the denomination of the merchant who imported it. To produce the Pinot Grigio Alto Adige DOC wine we start with the harvest, carried out in the second half of September and rigorously by hand. The grapes come from vineyards which extend over hills contiguous to the mountain, at an altitude between 250 and 500 m above sea level, on clayey and gravelly calcareous soils subjected to strong temperature variations. After harvesting, the grapes are subjected to immediate soft pressing. The subsequent vinification takes place in steel containers at a controlled temperature (19° C), without malolactic fermentation. Pinot Grigio is a full-bodied white wine rich in extract and has a straw yellow colour. Its flavor is delicate and pleasantly soft. In fully matured wines, notes of nuts and honey stand out.
