Pinot Noir Reserve Weingut R'A Pfaffl 2018

The Pinot Noir Reserve is a red wine of quality and personality proposed by the Weingut R&A Pfaffl domaine, one of Austria's historic wineries. The particularity of the label lies in the dark berry blend used, i.e. 100% pure Pinot Noir. It is not indigenous to the Austrian country, but finds the ideal conditions in which to grow and mature in the area around Vienna. The temperate climate and the soil rich in sandy components of Bisamberg are, in fact, the elements that allow the development of juicy and healthy bunches. When the grapes are sufficiently ripe, the best grapes can be selected by hand, which are then de-stemmed and softly pressed on the farm. The malolactic fermentation is followed by a period of aging in oak barrels, for a period that can reach up to 12 months. The end result is a decidedly structured and persuasive Pinot Noir Reserve, elegant and intense, fruity and floral notes together, great elegance, perfect for a convivial lunch. Finds its maximum value after 3-4 years spent in the cellar.
