Porto Colheita Niepoort with Case 2008

Porto Colheita is a delicious wine from the Niepoort company, an established family business from the enchanting valleys of the Duero, in Portugal, which boasts experience in the wine production business since 1842, reconciling tradition and innovation. The grapes for Porto Colheita come from vineyards in the Cima Corgo region of the Duero Valley. Once harvested, these grapes are aged in 550 liter barrels in the cellars of the Niepoort winery in Villa Nova de Gaia. Then they are bottled after a maturation period of at least ten years. At the end of this long refining period, Porto Colheita is ready to be enjoyed in all its sophisticated nuances. A sweet fortified wine, but never cloying, intense, soft and enveloping, with a peculiar persistence on the palate. Delicious with dark chocolate.
