The Langlois Chateau Pouilly Fumé comes from the Loire Valley, in France, where the Sauvignon Blanc finds its maximum expression. The Langlois-Chateau maison was founded in 1912 by its historic founder Edouard Langlois. In 1973 the cellar was bought by the Bollinger family who began the expansion of production. For more than 10 years, the company has been working with selected winegrowers in the Pouilly Fumé area, on the right bank of the Loire. On these clayey soils rich in limestone, silicon and gravel, the Sauvignon meets the ideal growth conditions. The Sauvignon grapes, from which this Langlois Chateau Pouilly Fumé white wine comes from, are difficult and delicate grapes. The temperate and breezy climate of Pouilly Fumé allows the bunches to reach full maturity but also keeps them crunchy and fragrant. The fermentation of this white takes place with traditional methods in steel tanks and at low temperatures. To be enjoyed young, it can also be kept for two or three years in the cellar.
