Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description
The extraordinary Pressenda Barolo DOCG , signed by the Marziano Abbona winery, perfectly exemplifies the high quality that Nebbiolo grapes can achieve in the Langhe. The company's vineyards are located in the Monforte d'Alba area, with vines that can boast an average of about forty years of age. It is on this unique, slightly sloping soil and thanks to the particular microclimate that the vine reaches the perfect concentration of sugars, aromas and colours. With a view to preserving these characteristics intact, the harvest takes place in a respectful way, through a careful selection of the best bunches. Once in the cellar, the grapes are subjected to soft pressing and subsequent fermentation on needy yeasts. The must obtained is left to rest for a year in 500-litre barrels and then another two years in 50-hectolitre containers. The result is a full-bodied and balanced red wine: Pressenda Barolo DOCG is perfect for important dinners with friends.
