'Prio' Sicily DOC Donnafugata 2021

Catarratto "Prio" is a white wine classified as Sicilia DOC Catarratto. It was born on the Contessa Entellina estate owned by the Donnafugata agricultural company, in south-western Sicily. Here the hilly terrain rich in nutrients and the dry and windy climate create the ideal conditions for the cultivation of vines. "Prio" is a term of the Sicilian dialect which means "joy, happiness". The characteristics of this wine make it perfect for coloring the day, giving yourself a moment of leisure and lightness or sharing moments of joy with friends. Cattarratto "Prio" is produced exclusively with Catarratto grapes, a historic Sicilian vine that has been grown in this land since ancient times and which gives the wines finesse and intensity. In the first ten days of September the grapes are harvested manually; the fermentation is in steel while the subsequent refinement takes place partly in the tank and partly in the bottle. Catarratto "Prio" is a fresh and intriguing wine that is well suited to the idea of joy and cheerfulness that its name wants to convey.
