The Rosso di Montalcino wine is a Denomination of Controlled Origin label proposed by the prestigious Ciacci Piccolomini winery, an estate located in the southeast of the municipality of Montalcino and which cultivates its vineyards with the utmost respect for the local winemaking traditions while marrying cutting-edge technologies. This young red is the result of the vinification of 100% Sangiovese grapes, the fruit of vines grown in medium-textured soil of Eocene origin, at a height between 240 meters and 360 meters above sea level. Rosso di Montalcino takes shape from a meticulous harvest, at the end of which the grapes are transferred to the cellar to be subjected to a classic red winemaking process, with fermentation in vitrified cement tanks. Subsequently, the wine matures in Slavonian oak barrels. The end result is a label that has obtained the recognition of the "3 screws" (out of 4) of the Vitae Guide, the official magazine of the Italian Sommelier Association. This perfectly structured red is a balanced wine, with a warm and soft sip, rightly tannic, with an aging perspective of a few years.
