Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect glass for light and medium-structured red wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

The wine "Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso 2016 Bastianich" is a typical DOC red wine from the Colli Orientali del Friuli and is the only red in the "Orsone" series of the Bastianich winery. It was founded in 1997 by the well-known TV personality Joe, it is located in Gagliano, Cividale del Friuli in the province of Udine and consists of about 28 hectares of vineyards. It is produced 100% with the "Refoscolo dal peduncolo rosso" vine; this vine grows on a typically karst soil of calcareous marl rich in phosphorus and potassium and is grown on the hills of Premariacco (facing south which allows for a considerable body), Manzano (facing south-east) and Cividale (facing southwest); in Manzano and Cividale the vines are beaten by the Bora, which gives the bunch a particular intense aroma. The initial impact is soft, with notes of ripe berries. Soft and round tannins, with great persistence on the palate. Aftertaste with a note of tobacco leaf. An intense wine to combine with meat and game.
