Autochthonous vine par excellence, famous in the nineteenth century, disappeared in the twentieth century and re-evaluated in the last 30 years, Refosco is a truly particular and intriguing wine. As regards the refinement, a part of the wine is placed in 225-litre barriques (Allier wood, medium toasting) and left to mature for about 5 months, another part stays in steel for about 7-8 months. During this period the bâtonnage is carried out several times. It is then bottled and lightly filtered in respect of its integrity. Subsequently, it lies in the dark and silence of the cellar before being put on the market . Purplish red color with a lively scent, it seduces with the scent of ripe plum, strawberry, undergrowth and cherry in alcohol. The taste is pleasant, with a balance between tannins, natural acids and alcohol. Dry, it has acidity ready to keep the mouth clean. The sip closes with a delicious note of plum already perceived on the nose. Intriguing!
