Rhum Japonais is one of the flagship products of the Ryoma distillery, a company based in the small town of Kuroshio. Rhum is a symbolic liqueur of the Caribbean and tropical islands, but this label shows that it is possible to obtain an excellent distillate even in a reality like Japan. The temperate and relatively mild climate is in fact particularly suitable for the cultivation of sugar cane, the basic ingredient for the production of rum. However, there is an unmistakable Japanese touch also in the production of the distillate, since the yeasts previously used for sake are used in the fermentation. The aging process is particularly long, in the order of 5-7 years, in order to give the distillate great smoothness. The Japanese white oak barrels are ready to welcome the rum for this long period of time, before the final bottling. Rhum Japonais is perfect for after dinner with friends and its structure, important and delicate, remains impressed on the palate for a long time. Elegant and refined, it has a persistent and enveloping finish that will conquer all Rhum lovers.
