Ribolla Gialla Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Zorzettig 2022

Ribolla Gialla Friuli Colli Orientali DOC is a savory and mineral white wine, produced by the Zorzettig winery. It is obtained by vinifying exclusively Ribolla Gialla grapes. This native white berried variety, known for almost a millennium, is locally called Ribuèle. The owned plots are located on a hilly area and boast optimal conditions for the vines, thanks to the favorable microclimate and the clayey substrate with a high percentage of marl. Once the ideal degree of ripeness has been reached, the bunches are selected by hand with great care before being transported to the cellar. Here the vinification begins with destemming and continues with the alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine remains in the same tanks for refinement, which lasts a few months before being bottled. Ribolla Gialla Friuli Colli Orientali DOC is meant to be tasted in youth, when the varietal notes are appreciated.
