'Roccheri' Nebbiolo Alba DOC Marchesi di Barolo 2019

Roccheri Nebbiolo Alba DOC is a prestigious red wine made by the historic Marchesi di Barolo winery, which has been committed to enhancing the area since its foundation. This intent is exemplified in this label obtained from Nebbiolo grapes only. The autochthonous variety par excellence of the Langhe is cultivated with the Guyot system on steep, mainly calcareous-clayey soils which give structure to the grapes. In the vineyard, great attention is paid to each step up to the careful harvesting by hand. The bunches are destemmed and delicately pressed to extract intense perfumes and aromas from the skin. The grapes are then placed to ferment and macerate in large temperature-controlled tanks. Malolactic fermentation follows in glass block tanks. The refinement first involves a passage in small oak barrels and an assembly in larger barrels which completes the phase. Roccheri Nebbiolo Alba DOC is a complex, rich, long-lived red wine, ready today, but which expresses its best between 3 and 8 years after bottling.
