'Rosé' Sicily DOC Planet 2021

Rosé Sicilia DOC is a rosé wine produced by the Planeta winery. This label is obtained from a blend composed of Nero d'Avola grapes and Syrah grapes, present in equal percentages. The owned vineyards directly overlook the Mediterranean and enjoy the nourishment of sandy soils and the positive effects of sea winds. Towards the end of August the bunches of the two varieties are selected by hand and harvested. Once in the cellar, the grapes are vinified in rosé. Crushing and destemming is followed by a quick maceration which lasts no longer than two hours to extract the ideal colour. The subsequent alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperatures, inside large steel tanks, where the wine then rests on the fine lees for a few months. Rosé Sicilia DOC is a wine designed to be enjoyed immediately, as it expresses all its freshness and fragrance shortly after bottling.
