It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Description
The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Rosso del Duca produced by the renowned Abruzzo winery Villa Medoro is an excellent wine, which comes from grapes harvested in a vineyard cultivated in the countryside of Atri, in an area with the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC denomination. This terroir red is a highly valuable interpretation of the Abruzzo winemaking culture, and is the result of the vinification of 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes. Excellent to drink today, this wine, thanks to its beautiful evolution, is of considerable interest if left to rest in the cellar for a few years. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Rosso del Duca takes shape from grapes harvested in mid-October. After harvesting, follow: alcoholic fermentation with maceration on the skins in steel and malolactic fermentation in tonneaux. Subsequently the wine is aged for 1 year in new French oak barriques and finally bottled. Before being placed on the market, however, it is still aged in glass for 4-6 months. The final product is a full-bodied and intense red, a wine with a rich sip that emerges for its good structure and its enveloping freshness.
