Rosso di Montalcino DOC 'Colombini' Fattoria dei Barbi 2021

In Tuscany, one of the symbolic regions of Italian viticulture, Rosso Di Montalcino DOC is produced at the Fattoria dei Barbi winery. The company is owned by the Cinelli Colombini family, one of the pioneers of the area, with an innovative management, but at the same time guardian of the most ancient traditions in the winemaking field, rules made of love and respect for nature. The grapes come from the Sangiovese vine which in this area manages to reach its maximum expression, thanks to the clayey and calcareous soil and the predominantly mild climate. After the harvest, through the collection of the youngest bunches, the grapes are macerated and then fermented in steel tanks. The refinement takes place in oak barrels and lasts about 6 months. Rosso Di Montalcino DOC is a particularly elegant and intense wine, ideal for drinking immediately, but which can evolve well if left to rest in the cellar for a few years.
