Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

The Rosso di Montalcino DOC Rossofonte from the Ciacci Piccolomini winery has a complex and elegant structure that fully reflects its refined origins. Born in the hills of the Montalcino area, where the winery has its historic headquarters, it expresses in the glass all the richness of the Tuscan terroir, famous for the production of quality wines. The Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona family estate combines the legacy of its ancient dynasty with the ability to renew itself and offer wines in step with the times. In this perspective, and in a natural setting in which the vineyards are bordered by the Orcia river and have their roots in a rich galestro soil, the precious Sangiovese grosso grapes ripen, the absolute protagonists of Rosso di Montalcino DOC Rossofonte. The grapes, rigorously selected and harvested by hand, after vinification in steel and vitrified cement, mature 12 months in Slavonian barrels and then in the bottle: the long rest amplifies the genuineness of a wine that is now a symbol not only of its area of origin, but of the entire Italian winemaking tradition. Intense color, like the fruity notes of undergrowth that emerge on the nose: In the mouth, you feel a tannin that is still young, present. It is a full-bodied wine, ample, ready to age and evolve positively, it leaves us with a persistent, long, intense, slightly bitter finish. Optimal!
