'Rungg' Merlot Cabernet Alto Adige DOC Tramin 2019

The Alto Adige DOC Rungg from the renowned South Tyrolean winery Tramin is a great red, which well represents the traditional winemaking vocation of Alto Adige. A terroir wine that best expresses the local winemaking culture strongly linked to the work in the vineyard and in the cellar. Fruit of a blend made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, this label, excellent to drink today, proves to be of considerable interest if it is left to rest in the cellar for a couple of years or more. The Alto Adige DOC Rungg takes shape from a meticulous manual harvest. The grapes, harvested when fully ripe, are transferred to the cellar where they undergo fermentation in steel. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barriques, after which it is blended and bottled. Before being placed on the market, however, it still ages in glass for a few months. The result is an aromatic, intense red with a savory sip. A wine with a good structure, with a persistent finish, for a label capable of surprising.
