In the splendid land of Sicily, between the towns of Pachino and Noto, the Saia Feudo Maccari Sicilia DOC is produced by the homonymous winery Feudo Maccari. The company, thanks to the recovery of ancient traditions, can be defined as one of the most significant realities in the area. The grapes come from the Nero d'Avola vines, grown on a sandy and calcareous soil and favored by the Mediterranean climate. After the harvest, we proceed with the fermentation which takes place in steel tanks, through the maceration of 20 days on the skins. To best enhance the evolutionary notes, we then proceed with a long refinement in French oak barriques for a maximum of 14 months, followed by the final refinement lasting 6 months in the bottle. Saia Feudo Maccari Sicilia DOC is an intense, powerful, elegant and structured wine, which can evolve further, if well kept, in the cellar for a few years.
