Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

Description
The history of the Saint Estèphe AOC 4ème Grand Cru Classè wine begins in the distant 17th century with the Lafon and Rochet families, in the famous appellation Saint-Estèphe in Bordeaux. In the historic wine classification dating back to 1885 the Saint Estèphe AOC 4ème Grand Cru Classè Château Lafon-Rochet is one of the fourteen Quatrièmes Grand Cru Classé of that famous list. Currently the estate is 45 hectares entirely cultivated with grapes with vines of merlot, petit verdot and cabernet (both sauvignon and franc) and formed by clayey-calcareous soil, perfect for the vines. The Saint Estèphe AOC 4ème Grand Cru Classè Château Lafon-Rochet is a particular red berried wine made up of two main vines, Cabernet Sauvignon for 55% and Merlot for another 40%, while the remaining 5% is made up of Cabernet Franc (for 3%) and Petit Verdot (for the last 2%). The main characteristic of the wine is strength and intensity (also due to the merlot, in large quantities), but above all it has a spectacular aging capacity which will further enhance its sensorial aspects. Great wine!
