Grumello Riserva Buon Consiglio 2 013 is a great Valtellina red wine that comes from a long aging in the Ar.Pe.Pe cellar founded in 1984 by Arturo Pellizzatti Perego. Currently the cellar is managed by the young people of the Pellizzatti Perego family who have brought technical innovations in the production of the traditional mountain Nebbiolo, while maintaining a strong link with tradition. Grumello Riserva Buon Consiglio is a balanced and harmonious red with a velvety and dry flavour, saline towards the finish. A very fine wine on the palate that requires the right amount of time for its harmonization. Its aroma is complex and intense, reminiscent of mountain herbs, mint and citrus fruits and can be easily combined with traditional local dishes. Grumello Riserva Buon Consiglio represents one of the best expressions of Chiavennasca, as Nebbiolo is called here, the typical and main vine of Valtellina. Grumello Riserva Bon Consiglio 2013 is a wine to drink immediately, but it also lends itself very well to aging: in fact, it can be left to rest in the cellar for over 7 years. The vines are placed on terraces facing south, clinging to rocky slopes that require totally manual processing during the harvest: in fact, the grapes are transported along the paths with shoulder baskets that refer to traditional processing despite the technological vinification . The Ar.Pe.Pe winery uses eco-sensitive technologies with zero impact on the environment, such as the use of geothermal energy.
