Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect glass for light and medium-structured red wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

Santa Maddalena is a light and brilliant red, which owes its name to the South Tyrolean district of the same name, where the Schiava grape, a noble black grape variety, has found the ideal cradle for its maturation for centuries. Never as in this case, in fact, the label highlights the strong link with the land to which it belongs, which gives birth to a nectar with a particular character, nicknamed "the queen of slaves" for a long time. Fine and elegant, it comes from the prestigious Sankt Michael Eppan cellar, where Hans Terzer, the maison's winemaker, works with passion to obtain a quality that "does not allow for compromises". A wine with a fresh and pleasant character, Santa Maddalena is a red in which the light notes of the Schiava and Lagrein grapes spread in all their most authentic generosity, responding to the desire of the Sankt Michael Eppan winery to boldly push itself towards new winemaking goals. An ideal partner for more traditional cuisine, it owes its characteristic scents to aging in large wooden barrels and steel vats, which can be followed, in suitable storage conditions, by aging in the bottle for a few years.
