'Santigaini' Isola dei Nuraghi IGT Vermentino Capichera 2019

Santigaini is among the most prestigious and famous Vermentini of the island of Sardinia. This wine is produced by the small Gallura Capichera winery, an important point of reference for the entire Sardinian wine scene. Santigaini is an Isola dei Nuraghi IGT white wine, a thick product made with 100% Vermentino grapes, fruit of the Coddu 'Ecchju vineyard. A prestigious label that embodies the scents of the sea and all the spirit of an ancient territory. A wine whose name is the expression of a late harvest, santigaini, in fact, means October in the Gallura alloglot language, and hence the indication of a grape harvest that comes out of the box compared to most of the island, where the work begins in the first days of September. This Vermentino is the result of a vinification in steel and an aging of at least 6 months in new and semi-new barriques. The result is a high quality white wine, a real excellence for an elegant product that is characterized by its strong personality, its unmistakable freshness and its remarkable final persistence.
