Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Sarmassa Barolo DOCG is an elegant red wine produced by the Piedmontese winery Marchesi di Barolo . It is obtained by vinifying exclusively Nebbiolo grapes, a noble native vine that has become a symbol of the area over the years. The Sarmassa vineyard boasts optimal characteristics for the cultivation of the vines, which have their roots in soils predominantly of clay, limestone and gravel. The presence of stones contains the excessive growth of the vine, allowing the grapes to reach full maturity and an excellent flavor profile. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the cellar. Here they are softly pressed and left to macerate on the skins during the alcoholic fermentation. The refinement phase follows, which takes place for a part in large Slavonian oak barrels, while for the remaining part in fine French barriques. Excellent already after bottling, Sarmassa Barolo DOCG is a wine that expresses its full potential following a further refinement of at least 5-6 years.
