It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Description
Sassirossi Rosso Isonzo DOC is a red wine made by the Friulian winery Masut da Rive . The label comes from a perfectly balanced blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, two varieties traditionally used for the famous Bordeaux blend. The plots are located on stony soils rich in iron and silt, located near the Isonzo river. By virtue of the mild climate and optimal sun exposure, the vines grow luxuriantly up to the full sugar concentration of the berries. During the manual harvest, only the ripest and healthiest bunches are harvested for transport to the cellar. The vinification begins with a long maceration on the skins and continues with the alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The subsequent refinement involves a passage of at least one year in fine French barriques. Sassirossi Rosso Isonzo DOC can be tasted with satisfaction after 3-4 years of rest in the cellar.
