Sauvignon Blanc Colchagua Valley The Basques 2022

Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine produced by the Los Vascos company owned by the well-known brand Barons de Rothschild. This wine is obtained from the single-variety vinification of Sauvignon blanc grapes, a vine that manages to find a particularly fine expression in the territories of this area of Chile. Precisely on the lands of the Colchagua Valley, located at 140 meters above sea level and with a predominantly calcareous composition, all the Bordeaux varieties meet an ideal habitat to thrive and give fragrant wines. After a careful harvest, the vinification is aimed at keeping the primary characteristics of the grape variety intact as much as possible. For this reason the wine is aged exclusively in steel tanks, without "contaminations" with wooden barrels, so fashionable in South America. Sauvignon Blanc is an intense and fragrant white wine, which is characterized by being pleasant and straightforward to drink at the same time. It is produced to be enjoyed when young, when it manages to refresh the palate with the intriguing immediacy of its herbaceous varietal scents.
