Schioppettino Friuli Colli Orientali DOC La Tunella 2020

Schioppettino is a Friulian red wine produced by the La Tunella winery, one of the most considered wineries in Friuli Venezia Giulia and, specifically, in the Colli Orientali. One of the most important wines produced by the cellar, the schiopetino is a still and dry red. It is 100% obtained from the homonymous grape, a vine which is locally also called black ribolla. It is one of the most important autochthonous grapes of Friuli Venezia Giulia. It is characterized by its natural roughness and angularity, characteristics which are mitigated by the rest in large French oak barrels for about two years. A full and representative expression of the Colli Orientali area, the Schioppettino from the La Tunella winery is a decisive, elegant and enveloping wine; in the mouth it is warm, exuberant and balanced by an important tannin. Capable of conquering the palate with a long-lasting and persistent aftertaste, it is a red that is unlikely to disappoint Friulian wine lovers and enthusiasts.
