It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

Aldo Rainoldi's Sfursat di Valtellina DOCG is the perfect interpreter of the solidity and genuineness of Valtellina. Awarded in several years by magazines such as Bibenda and by the Gambero Rosso Guide with the Tre Bicchieri (the highest score), this red wine is the result of the perfect combination between a difficult and difficult nature (like the mountains) and a great passion for 'enology. Aldo Rainoldi is a historic winery in the Valtellina area: it has been operating since 1925, combining respect for traditional viticulture and the ability to constantly innovate. The vineyards extend in the suggestive alpine region of Valtellina, the second largest Nebbiolo production area in the world. And it is precisely from the juicy Nebbiolo grapes, typically called Chiavennasca, that Aldo Rainoldi's Sfursat di Valtellina DOCG is born: a thick red wine that owes its particularity to the slow withering to which the bunches are subjected. Left to dry in wooden boxes from the harvest until January, the grapes intensify the sugar concentration and enhance the intensity of their aroma to give a nectar with an unmistakable identity that lends itself well to long refinements, first in barrels and then in bottles . Great wine!
