'Shiraz' Lazio IGT Casale del Giglio 2021

Lazio Shiraz IGT is a red wine produced by the Casale del Giglio winery, one of the most important wineries in the Lazio region. The distant origins of the vine, from which this red comes to life, have their roots in ancient Persia. The shiraz (or syrah) vine was recently introduced in the territory of the Agro Pontino, in the province of Latina, by the Casale del Giglio winery itself, or about thirty years ago. 100% Shiraz, this red comes from grapes that have reached an optimal state of ripeness. Suitable in different contexts and for different occasions, Casale del Giglio's Lazio Shiraz IGT is one of the most authoritative and appreciated Italian representatives of the vine of oriental origin. Aged in barrique for eight/twelve months, it is a soft, warm, velvety, rich, deep wine supported by a trace of freshness. It is a perfect wine to be enjoyed in company during a dinner with friends and a nice barbecue!
