It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. Description

The Colli Piacentini Malvasia DOC Sorriso di Cielo from the La Tosa winery is produced with 100% Malvasia di Candia grapes; cultivation that has been practiced for centuries on the Piacenza hills. The Pizzamiglio family started their business here about 35 years ago, buying 16 hectares of land on the hills of Val Nure; these are clayey lands, on which the La Tosa winery cultivates native vineyards, contributing to respect for the environment and making the most of the properties of the soil. Although it is a white wine, it has great longevity: it can in fact be enjoyed up to 10 years after the harvest. It is a DOC wine, Denomination of Controlled Origin, very elegant. It is a still, dry wine with a slight residual sugar, it comes from Malvasia di Candia Aromatica. It is aromatic and pleasant, but also structured, complex and long-lasting. These characteristics were never realized in a white wine of the area, until the time of its birth, in 1991. The following years confirmed the potential of this grape, truly one of the best native white grapes of our country and the real Italian alternative to Gewurtztraminer.
