Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

Sylvaner is a wine produced by the Abbazia di Novacella cellar in Alto Adige. The cellar is characterized by a deep-rooted winemaking tradition which, according to historical evidence, dates back to the twelfth century, thus allowing it to be considered one of the oldest wineries still in business. This centuries-old knowledge means that the most appropriate techniques are used for the production of Sylvaner wine, thus exploiting all the characteristics of the territory. It seems to come from the Transylvania region, as the name suggests, and that it was then implanted in Italy centuries ago. It is pergola grown and flowers late and without ever being abundant. The production takes place through a choice of the best grapes which are then subjected to a very delicate pressing process. The vinification, which takes place through fermentation and maturation, is done in stainless steel tanks in order to keep the main characteristics of the grapes unaltered. It is a fresh and mineral product, with subtle and intriguing aromas, with a discreet body and a good final persistence. Excellent with soups and local first courses.
