Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The Radici Taurasi Riserva DOCG is a wine that comes from the Mastroberardino cellar in Atripalda. The combination of history and modernity are the main characteristics of the company, one of the most prestigious in the Irpino area. The grapes come from the Aglianico vineyards, cultivated on soils rich in clay and limestone, exposed to the South/East at about 550 meters above sea level. The training system adopted is espalier, while pruning is spurred cordon. After the manual harvest and the selection of the best grapes, the red vinification and maceration on the skins is carried out for about 25 days. Subsequently, it is aged in French oak barriques and Slavonian oak barrels for a period of 30 days. Before being put on the market, the wine needs a further rest in glass for 40 months. Radici Taurasi Riserva DOCG is an elegant and enveloping wine, ideal for immediate drinking, but it can also rest in the cellar for over 10 years before tasting.
